Emotions are what sets ‘I’ in motion. Emotions makes a person lively, likeable, loveable, naughty, happy, angry, sad, furious, silent, calm and benign. Without emotions a man cannot exist. The percentage of emotions varies from person to person. Very emotional people cannot be practical. They become imbalanced, have lot of expectations. Emotionless people are hard core practical, they cannot think about a person’s feelings. It is only about getting their work done. Thus it is very essential to be balanced in emotions. Unbalanced love to the extent of possessiveness binds, is full of unfulfilled expectations and always on the brick of madness. Love should liberate.
To be balanced in emotions, it is always essential to keep on checking oneself. The barometer is your peace of mind. If you have peace of mind, then your emotions are in check. If not, then there is some imbalance in you. How to remain balanced is an art. It is called art of living. It is also sadhana or training of oneself. Emotions can be checked by constant reminders to oneself. It is all about self-control. Initially it may lead to anger but then slowly and steadily it will be trained. It is like a wild animal who is slowly and gradually trained by his trainer. Similarly emotions can be trained.
