Waiting for you in your wake, doing what I have to do,
Yet travels my mind at a fast pace, searching for you I do.
For impatient I am to see your face, when shall I be with you?
For time a barrier I find I face, when look for you I do.
Calling out to you, my lord, I say, come to me as fast as you can do,
For pleasure of this wait, it seems to wane, when I want is you.
Understanding the situations in the wake, yet help myself I can’t do,
Running to you I want to do, for rest in your arms I want to do.
The world at large, is still to face, but ready I am, only for you,
Come, my lord, oh so soon, this devotee is gazing out for you.
Waiting for you in your wake, doing what I have to do,
Yet travels my mind at a fast pace, searching for you I do.
