Merrily and merrily the birds sing,
For joy of living they seem to bring.
Blissful in their merry world they sing,
For contented they are in their life, they sing.
No more desire, no more wish they sing,
For love to live and food to eat they bring.
The tree, their shelter, nothing more to sing,
When basic needs in life, the lord has given, they sing.
Then what more to need, only a song to sing,
For joy be the lord, happiness that he brings.
