Prem means Pr = Prathana (Prayer) and em = this way. A prayer that is done is such a way that God comes running to us.
Everyone has love in the world either for mother-father, brother-sister, husband-wife, children, or even friends. Param prem (Ultimate love) is possible only with God. Worldly love will always have some expectations, some flaws, some limitations. Divine love is without expectation. Divine love intoxicates you. You do not want to sleep as all the time you want to feel that love. You lose your senses (સુદબુદ). You either lose your identity or expand your identity. Every moment is only for the divine. You eat for divine, you drink for divine, work for divine, sing for divine, dance for divine. Divine love does not bind you. It liberates you. The yearning of merging itself intoxicates you. Divine love is not possessive. You love God, and you know God loves you. You don’t mind that God loves everyone. Divine love leads you to a state where you see God in everything, in everyone. Everything else appears mundane in front of this divine love. Compassion and care are generated automatically within you.
Compassion does not mean love. Compassion is kindness, wanting to uplift everyone and not to hurt someone. Love includes compassion with bhaav (emotion) and loss of your identity.
In divine love, you lose yourself but gain everything. Thus, you lose nothing except ‘I.’ You lose your ego, your vikaar (vices). When in divine love, you gain bhakti (devotion), but give up all other desires, acquire knowledge which all occurs automatically. Thus, you do bhakti yoga, raj yoga, sahaj yoga, and even karma yoga. You are not doing any action. Every action is for the divine, by the divine.
Divine love has no inhibitions, no sankoch (hesitation), no secret. It is pure, and you are an open book that has nothing to hide. Divine love drenches you, instils music and dance in you. You feel young, energetic all the time. Divine love is the only constant love. It never dries up, never stops, and all the time feels new and new. Divine love always reciprocates. It never leaves you empty. It takes you to param (supreme) bliss.
